Garden State Parkway Toll Plaza Crash Results in Fatality, Car Fire

Early morning on Saturday, November 27th, a vehicle crashed into the Bergen toll plaza in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. The crash resulted in the death of the driver as well as a fire that engulfed the vehicle and required firefighters to extinguish it.
Car Erupts in Flames After Driver Crashes into Garden State Parkway Bergen Toll Plaza
The fatal crash was reported at 3:30 am, and shortly after firefighters and emergency personnel arrived at the scene to extinguish the flames. The vehicle was traveling northbound when it struck the toll plaza. The driver was identified as 28-year-old Steven Daych of Staten Island.
The car was left completely charred and several lanes around the toll plaza had to be shut down as the incident was investigated. The cause of the crash has yet to be determined and is still under investigation by police.
