The plaintiff was a backseat passenger in her sister’s vehicle when it was involved in a T-bone collision with another car. The passengers in the other vehicle contested the liability for the accident using dash cam footage showing that the plaintiff’s sister ran a red light. As a result of the accident, the plaintiff suffered a mild traumatic brain injury.
Despite the dash cam evidence, she obtained a substantial settlement from those in the other vehicle. The case was venued in Nassau County Court and settled for $900,000.
