On July 27, 2022, in the Supreme Court of Suffolk County, SPBMCC Attorney Beth Jablon secured a $650,000 settlement for a man who slipped and fell in a supermarket.
45-Year-Old Man Slips in Supermarket
On Sept. 15, 2013, a supermarket employee was working at a bakery inside of a grocery store while an outside maintenance cleaning company cleaned the store. Due to the maintenance company’s negligence in warning people about recently cleaned, slippery floors, the supermarket employee slipped and fell.
The plaintiff sustained multiple injuries that required surgery, including a fractured collarbone and a torn rotator cuff.
Attorney Beth Jablon Secures $650,000 Settlement for Plaintiff’s Injuries
SPBMCC Attorney Beth Jablon represented the plaintiff in this case and argued that the maintenance company cleaning the grocery store was negligent in warning people that the floor around the bakery was wet. The case was brought to the Suffolk County Supreme Court and settled before going to trial for $650,000. It will compensate the plaintiff for pain, suffering, and economic damage.
