On Sept. 23, 2022, SPBMCC Partner Glenn W. Nick successfully secured a $615,000 settlement for a woman who tripped and fell on a sidewalk obstruction and suffered a fractured humerus, which required surgical intervention utilizing a metal plate and screws.
Woman Trips and Falls on Sidewalk
While walking on a sidewalk in Manhattan, the plaintiff tripped on a piece of dark wood that jutted out into the sidewalk, causing a hazardous condition. This was part of an outdoor decoration for a popular restaurant in the West Village.
The plaintiff fractured her humerus, which required surgical intervention utilizing a metal plate and screws.
